Sea Salt
Made from evaporated seawater, sea salt provides an alternative to regular table salt (which is mined from land deposits and heavily processed.) Sea salt crystals are larger and contain trace minerals like potassium, iron, and calcium. Sea salt works well to add distinct chunks of salt to salads like tomato and cucumber salad, and to pasta salads. It's ideal for meat rubs, with a grain size to match other coarse-ground spices. And of course, it's a must for homemade sea salt caramels and state fair pretzels!
