Brown Mustard Seeds are seeds from the Brassica juncea mustard plant, also known as Chinese Mustard or Indian Mustard. They are best known as the base for Dijon mustard--a combination of the ground seeds and white wine and/or white wine vinegar. These spicy seeds are more intense than their yellow siblings from the Sinapis alba, which are used to make most American mustard condiments.
