Chives - Dehydrated

Chives are a member of the onion family and are rich in vitamins A and C. The taste is lightly oniony, but more delicate than onion since they don't have as much sulfur.
 
Chives are one of the four subtle herbs (along with parsley, chervil, and tarragon) that make up the traditional French blend of fines herbes. The fines herbes blend is sought for the delicate flavors it brings to egg dishes like souffles and omelets, or lightly sauced poached chicken and fish. 
 
Our dehydrated chives bring that light oniony flavor wherever you add them. Try making your own cream cheese spread by adding chives and minced garlic to softened cream cheese! Or add to homemade vinaigrette dressings. Just avoid cooking chives for too long... their flavor mutes with long cooking.
